Syria's Grand Mufti says the two abducted bishops are alive

Syrian Grand Mufti Dr. Ahmad Badr Al-Din Hassoun stressed on Sunday that the two abducted bishops, who are Christian leaders in the Syrian city of Aleppo, are alive, noting that they are in Turkey.

On April 22, Bishops Boulos Yazigi of the Greek Orthodox Church and John Ibrahim of the Assyrian Orthodox Church were kidnapped while they were traveling outside the northern city of Aleppo.
