Nahas urges respect of Mikati's prerogatives
The Minister of Economy Nicolas Nahas urged respect of Prime Minister Najib Mikati's prerogatives.

"Mikati is responsible for the decisions of the cabinet and its policy, for this reason all should respect his work, role and prerogatives", the Minister stressed.

The minister pointed out on Thursday to "Voice of Lebanon" radio that Mikati would continue exercising his powers as a PM.

Nahas said that Mikati will suspend Cabinet sessions until matters are resolved. "We are before a cabinet crisis", Nahas said, adding that PM Mikati was clear in the necessity to respect the constitutional mechanisms for appointments.

He pointed out that the Disciplinary Council head position was not mentioned in yesterday's agenda and nevertheless Mikati proposed three names in respect of transparency.
