Man kills wife, attempts suicide

A man in North Lebanon shot his wife Friday night, then turned the gun to himself but failed to commit suicide.

Ahmad Khodr Salibi, from the northern town of Kfarqahel in Koura, killed his wife with a Kalashnikov rifle, shooting her in the head and chest. The woman died instantly. He later shot himself and sustain serious wounds.

Security forces arrived at the crime scene and transferred the injured man to Koura hospital for treatment.
