Nasrallah: Iran extends support to us, does not dictate us
Hezbollah Leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah spoke live on Tuesday from Dahyeh on the occasion of the Prophet’s birthday and the Islamic Unity Week.

Nasrallah kicked off his speech saying that "it is in the interests of both Muslims and Christians who live in the Middle East to reach harmony and cooperation between Muslims."

He added that fanning accusations that Iran seeks to convert all Sunnis to Shias is “a diabolic behavior” adding that these statements are ill-founded.

"It was never intended to convert Shias to Sunnis or Sunnis to Shias, these statements are only illusion and aim at sparking incitement", he elaborated

Nasrallah also confirmed that his party has been been receiving  "moral, political and material support  from Iran since 1982", bus said however that "Iran does not dictate us."

“Some people base their statements on positions attributed to us in the early eighties and which suggest the establishment of an Islamic republic; but I want to remind Christian leaderships who are speaking today about co-existence and civil peace, I want to remind them how they used to speak back then about a Christian country and federal division", he said.

The Hezbollah leader denied that his party is engaged in drug trade or money laundry, "we don’t have any business abroad ", he confirmed.

Commenting on the Lebanese developments, Nasrallah said that "the cabinet will survive for political and security stability is needed in the country ."

Nasrallah confirmed that Hezbollah’s political speech has been clear for the past 20 years, adding that it serves the interest of Muslims, Christians and the country.

As for the Syrian crisis, Nasrallah said that “declarations that the Syrian regime is popularly isolated are untrue. The regime persists and draws the support of the army”, confirming that there is an US-Western-Israeli-Arab decision to bring down the Syrian regime.
