Lebanon's Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdel-Latif Derian reiterated Thursday that the growing political crises can be settled only through national dialogue and the election of a new president.
“We should stand by the government and support it in these circumstances,” Grand Mufti said during Eid al-Adha prayers that were held in Mohammad al-Amin mosque in downtown Beirut.
The mufti called for adopting basic rules to resolve outstanding issues.
