REPORT: Relatives of kidnapped soldiers reopen Raouche road after protesting
Families of the Arsal abducted soldiers ended their movement after heading to the residence of Speaker Nabih Berri in a bid to protest against the cabinet’s negligence in terms of the dossier related to their loved ones.

The spokeswoman representing the protesters lamented officials' lack of action calling for a resolution to their case.

The relatives then reopened Raouche road.

Earlier today, the families of kidnapped servicemen blocked the Raouche road in both directions, stressing that the dossier of their loved ones "is a priority that is being overlooked."

The relatives apologized to all Lebanese citizens, pointing out that they will keep the road blocked for 3 hours.

The hostage troops and policemen were captured when jihadists from the Nusra Front and the Islamic State militant groups briefly overran the border town of Arsal last August and engaged in fierce battles with the Lebanese army.

Negotiations were conducted, with the help of a mediator in order to reach common terms to release the hostages, but no results have been reached so far.
