Minister al-Hennawi to LBCI: Civil society activists must keep protests peaceful

Sports and Youth Minister Abdel Motaleb al-Hennawi urged on Friday the civil society activists to keep the protests peaceful.

 

Al-Hennawi’s comments were made during an interview with Nharkom Said TV show whereby he said that the security forces are safeguarding the private and public properties and the security during the ongoing protests.

 

On another note, the minister noted that only the government is entitled to carry out military appointments, and the ministry of defense is the one entitled to carry out military promotions.
