Lebanese army arrests suspect linked to Assir

The Lebanese army intelligence arrested on Wednesday a suspect in the southern Ain al-Hilweh refugee camp suspected of having ties with Salafist Sheikh Ahmad Assir.

 

The suspect was identified as Ibrahim Dimassi who had appeared in the testimonies of other suspects.

 

Dimassi was arrested in the Taamir neighborhood of Ain al-Hilweh.

 

There are more than 30 wanted suspects in Ain al-Hilweh who reportedly participated in the 2013 Abra battles against the Lebanese army.
