EDL contract workers hold protest against working procedures
Electricite du Liban's Contract Workers closed on Thursday the customers waiting area at the company's headquarters in the region of Mar Mikhael to object unfair working procedures taken by service providing company KVA.

The state-run National News Agency reported that KVA forced a female employee suffering from cancer to attend to her work on a daily basis and deducted from her salary her days of absence.

The workers later on reopened doors after KVA pledged to help the employee with the cost of her cancer treatment.
