The head of the National Media Council Abdel Hadi Mahfouz stressed that they will continue exerting pressure on satellite communications operator Arabsat, noting that there are legal procedures in the case of suspension of al-Manar and al-Mayadeen TV channels.
Following a meeting for CEOs of local channels held in Ain al-Tineh, al-Manar TV general manager Ibrahim Farhat noted that a meeting will soon be held between Arabsat and representatives of the Lebanese government, stressing that Arabsat’s battle with the media sector will not last.
