Speaker Nabih Berri explained Wednesday that “the issue of the Islamic coalition against terrorism is an idea previously proposed by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi,” adding that such matters are discussed during the cabinet session in order to take the necessary decision.
In this context, Berri told the accredited journalists at the parliament that “a cabinet session could be held in the upcoming couple of days to discuss the waste issue,” noting that the said matter might be proposed as a political subject, in order to issue a clear stance towards it.
Answering a question on terrorism, Berri said that “the resistance against Israel in Lebanon and elsewhere can never be described as terrorism.”
