Supporters of ex-MP Yaacoub block airport road
Supporters of former MP Hassan Yaacoub held on Wednesday a peaceful march near the Al-Rasoul Al-Azam Hospital in Beirut's southern suburbs, blocking the airport road.

Meanwhile, Yaccoub's mother and family continued their sit in at the Al-Safa Mosque in Ras Nabaa.

On Monday, supporters and relatives of former MP Hassan Yaacoub held outside the Safa mosque in the region of Aamlieh an open-ended protest

The sit-in aims at reminding people of Moussa Al Sadr's protest against the Lebanese war.

An arrest warrant was issued against Yaacoub and three others over involvement in the recent kidnapping of Hannibal Moammar Gaddafi.

The warrant was issued after Judge Jermanous questioned Yaacoub and three of his companions at the Baabda Justice Palace.

All four suspects were charged with abducting the son of the deposed Libyan leader.

Yaacoub's father was accompanying Imam Moussa al-Sadr and another man when they disappeared in Libya in 1978.
