Syrian anti-aircraft fires at Lebanese military helicopter

The state-run National News Agency reporte on Thursday that Syrian anti-aircrafts opened fire from the Syrian side of the Nahr Kabeer River at a Lebanese military helicopter as it was flying over the region of Sahel Akkar.

 

The helicopter was hit by the fire; however the two pilots managed to return back to the Kleiat air base.

Investigations and contact are currently underway to unveil the causes of such an incident which is considered to be the first of its kind.
