General Michel Aoun announced his carrying of great news for Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Beshara Boutros Rai and Lebanese People, following their meeting on Monday, where Aoun proposed a first step solution to all conflicts.
The head of the “Free Patriotic Movement” and Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil had previously met with Rai, and left without making any statement.
Future bloc MP Fouad Saniora had also met with Rai, where he said that the election of a president is not solely a Christian issue, but concerns all the Lebanese people.
On another note, he stressed that the presidential elections require more internal consultations.
Rai also held talks with a delegation from the Lebanese Forces represented by LF media official Melhem Riachi.
