Snow blankets Lebanon mountains, heavy rainfall floods Bekaa roads

Snow covered Tuesday the mountainous regions from northern Lebanon to the south.

Heavy rains created ponds and flash floods across the capital and its suburbs, resulting in suffocating traffic jams.

Meanwhile, the Traffic Management Center reported that the Tarshish-Zahleh road was cut off due to the accumulation of snow, while the Dhour al-Shweir road was solely open to SUVs and vehicles equipped with snow chains.

In Bcharreh, most of the public institutions and schools were closed due to the drop in temperature.
