Future MP Fatfat to LBCI: Meeting in Riyadh did bot tackle presidential elections
Future bloc MP Ahmad Fatfat said on Wednesday that the meeting that took place in the Saudi capital did not tackle the presidential elections, but the case of former Minister Michel Samaha.
 
Fatfat’s comments were made during a phone call with Nharkom Said TV show whereby he stressed that the bloc backs any reconciliation that serves Lebanon’s interests.
 
He also noted that former Prime Minister Saas Hariri is still supporting Marada leader MP Sleiman Frangieh as a presidential candidate, adding that contacts are still ongoing with Lebanese Forces party.
 
 Lebanese Forces chief Samir Geagea announced on Monday his party’s adoption of General Michel Aoun’s nomination for the presidency after a long time of deep thought and deliberations.
 
Geagea pointed out that the LF was really keen on completing the elections on time, calling upon March 14 forces to adopt Aoun’s nomination for the presidential elections.
