Head of Progressive Socialist Party MP Walid Jumblatt Monday said that the drowning of the Egyptian tourist in Jeita Grotto is “a big scandal for Lebanon and its tourism.”
Jumblatt urged the concerned sides, via Twitter, to reconsider the company that oversees the grotto.
On Saturday, an Egyptian tourist fell in the water of Jeita Grotto and was swept away by the current.
Consequently, Nabil Haddad, general manager of the company that oversees the famous touristic site, was arrested amid allegations of neglect regarding it.
