REPORT: Drop in temperatures and icy roads across Lebanese regions

Ice layers were formed in several Lebanese regions located as low as 400 meters above sea level.

The temperature dropped below zero in Marjeyoun, leading the water to freeze in water pipes and forming ice layers along the roads. Accordingly, a number of schools closed their doors for the kindergarten classes.

In Tripoli, several road accidents were reported due to the icy roads caused by the significant drop in temperatures.

In Donnieh, water froze and damaged the pipes and reservoirs, while ice layers were formed along the roads and public and public schools closed their doors for the fourth consecutive days.
