Head of the Council for Development and Reconstruction Nabil al-Jisr disclosed to LBCI Friday that Britain's Chinook Urban Mining International Company said it had clinched a Russian approval to accept Lebanon’s waste, while processing it through incineration.
Two other companies had previously proposed two offers for Waste deportation at a much lower cost than Chinook’s, but their offers came long after the Cabinet had accepted Chinook’s offer.
For his part, the Russian Ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Zasypkin told LBCI that he’s following up on this case.
