Electoral law committee holds meeting
A parliamentary committee tasked with drafting a new electoral law held a meeting Tuesday under the chairmanship of Lebanese Forces MP Georges Adwan and in the presence of MP Talal Arslan.

Following the meeting, Adwan headed to Ain al-Tineh in a bid to brief Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri on the committee’s progress.

A committee, which represents the major parliamentary blocs in the March 8 and March 14 camps, was formed in November to draft on a new electoral law that will replace the 1960 one, which set the terms of the country’s last parliamentary elections, in 2009.
