The administration of the National Social Security Fund issued Wednesday a “final warning” to the American University Hospital in Beirut, demanding it to comply with the provisions of laws and regulations in force, mainly the agreement signed with NSSF.
The warning stressed the need that the hospital abides by the tariffs set by the fund, without exceeding them and burdening the patients covered by the NSSF with additional amounts; otherwise, the NSSF administration will be forced to halt the financial advances, leading to permanently ending the contract.
In this regard, the warning also reminded all hospitals of the need to abide by the Fund’s laws and regulations and to commit to the defined tariffs without unlawfully imposing additional fees on the patients.
