REPORT: Speaker Berri says Parliament should convene to perform its legislative duties

Speaker Nabih Berri said on Wednesday that the Lebanese people must seize the opportunity and hold the presidential elections.

“Now that cabinet returned to holding regular meetings, parliament should as well so that it can perform its legislative duties,” Berri was quoted saying following his weekly meeting with lawmakers at Ain el-Tineh.

On another note, Berri stressed that the work on holding the municipal elections is ongoing, adding that the AMAL party and Hezbollah are working on it since three weeks ago.
