REPORT: Bkerke meetings tackle political affairs

Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai met on Friday with Change and Reform bloc MP Ibrahim Kanaan and Lebanese Forces media official Melhem Riachi at Bkerke.

Following the meeting, MP Kanaan stressed the need to resort to the opinion of the Christians in order to safeguard the practice of democracy in the country.

Kanaan also noted the meeting with Patriarch Rai was positive, adding that they promised him to continue the reconciliation efforts in order to solve the crisis in the country.
