Talibani sets date for Iraqi leaders meeting

Iraqi President Jalal Talibani set April 5th as a date for the national meeting aimed at discussing disputes between political bloc leaders in the country.

According to a statement, Talibani’s call came following intensive deliberations and consultations with PM Nuri al-Maliki, House Speaker Ossama Najafi and other political leaders and figures.

Talibani called on the preparatory commission to accelerate the completion of its work and prepare the program of action before the said date.
