Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said Sunday that should Lebanon had waited for a unified Arab strategy, Israel would have been currently present across the Lebanese regions and Beirut.
In a speech he delivered during a ceremony honoring the martyrdom of Hezbollah Commander Ali Fayyad, Nasrallah asked: “Would the Arab regime dare to provide the Resistance with weapons?”
He also stressed that Lebanon is protected by the army, the people and the resistance, noting that the Resistance has become “the only open horizon” before our nation to restore its dignity and sanctity.
Addressing the Arab regimes, Nasrallah said: "we want nothing from you but to leave us alone,” adding that these regimes have always plotted against whoever stood against Israel, especially the Saudi regime.
"For all those who accuse us of being a sectarian resistance, did we go to Bosnia to support the Shiite?" he asked; pointing out that the Sunnis is Iraq have suffered from the Islamic State’s actions far more than the Shiites.
On the Iraqi file, Nasrallah stressed that whoever thinks that Hezbollah would have waited for a decision from the Arab League to interfere in Iraq is a delusional, explaining that his party was fighting in Iraq under Iraqi leadership.
Hezbollah chief questioned describing the party as terrorist, when it has been fighting the organization that was unanimously deemed terrorist by international powers.
On the Syrian crisis, Sayyed Nasrallah said that Hezbollah did not receive orders from any party to interfere in Syria, neither form Iran, nor the Supreme Leader Khamenei.
Commenting on the Saudi affairs, Nasrallah expressed understanding towards the kingdom’s anger, noting that “everyone who fails gets mad.”
“A prince settled down in Amman to give orders at the beginning of the Syrian crisis,” he stated.
