France’s Nadal discusses Lebanon’s stability with Saudi Crown Prince

French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and international Development spokesman Romain Nadal said in a press conference Monday that “ Lebanon’s stability was discussed upon the visit of  Saudi Arabia's  Crown Prince to Paris “.

On the issue of freezing the arming of military and security forces Nadal said that “this issue should be discussed with the Ministry of Defense, and France is most certainly sticking to sustaining Lebanon's stability, which is the aim of the “DONAS” agreement funded by Saudi Arabia".

Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir had previously announced that Saudi Arabia will take delivery of French arms it originally ordered for Lebanon.

As In February, Saudi Arabia had suspended a $3 billion aid package for the Lebanese army in response to Beirut's failure to condemn attacks on Saudi diplomatic missions in Iran.
