Trial of so-called Abra detainees deferred to March 15
Trial of the so-called Abra detainees was adjourned on Tuesday to March 15, seemingly since ten lawyers did not attend the hearing.

 

The suspects were detained following clashes that erupted in 2014 in Abra, south Lebanon, between the followers of a radical Sunni cleric Sheikh Ahmad al-Assir and the Lebanese army.
The attacks resulted in the death of 18 Lebanese Armed Forces soldiers and around 40 of Assir’s fighters.​
