United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon Sigrid Kaag said Friday that “Lebanon's presidential vacuum issue should be solved for the interest of Lebanon, its independence and stability”.
During her visit to the Head of Marada Movement PM Sleiman Frangieh, Kaag asserted that the international community will continue its cooperation with all the Lebanese parties to help Lebanon and reduce the effects of the Syrian crisis.
“I will point out in my report, which will be submitted to the Secretary General of the United Nations, Lebanon's presidential vacuum, as it has been negatively affecting the country and all its institutions despite all Prime Minister Tammam Salam’s brave attempts in this regard," she added.
