Syrian regime failed to kill Kamal Jumblatt's Spirit- Rifi

Former Justice Minister Ashraf Rifi said in a tweet on the anniversary of Kamal Jumblatt’s assassination that “the Syrian regime did assassinate Kamal Jumblatt but failed to kill his voice and spirit.”

“Life is a victory for the strong spirited, salutes to the martyrs of the Independence revolution and martyrs of Syria, to the righteous until the fall of the tyrant”.

The Lebanese Leftist leader Kamal Jumblatt was shot dead in 1977 by unknown gunmen in the mountains south-east of Beirut.

Jumblatt was killed at the age of 59 with his driver and a bodyguard on the road between Beirut and his family palace in the Druze Muslim village of Mukhtara.
