MP Houry to LBCI: No presidential candidate is entitled to boycott election session
Future bloc MP Amman Houry said on Wednesday that the ongoing presidential vacuum will continue the demolition of state’s institutions.
Houry’s comments were made during a phone call with LBCI Nharkom Said TV show whereby he noted that no presidential candidate is entitled to boycott the election sessions.
He also urged the lawmakers to be positive about today’s parliamentary session.
Lebanon has been plunged into a presidential vacuum since the mandate of president Michel Sleiman ended in May 201 without the election of a successor.
Deep disputes between rival political parties have thwarted the polls, as Hezbollah and Change and Reform bloc are boycotting the election session.
