Speaker Nabih Berri said Saturday that Lebanon has a bug in its democratic system which is the sectarianism, noting that the country has been witnessing a stable security situation, maintained by the national dialogue.
During a meeting with his Egyptian counterpart in Cairo, Berri pointed out that some Empires are ruling over the region, expressing regret over the fact that “the Arabs stand in the backstage,” and stressing the need to exert all possible efforts to fight terrorism and strife.
Berri, who is the president of the Arab Parliamentary Union, will be chairing the 23rd conference of the Arab Parliamentary Union, which will be inaugurated on Sunday at the Arab League headquarters.
