High-voltage power lines to be extended over Mansourieh residents’ heads

On the eve of the cabinet session, it seems that the high-voltage power lines are ready to be extended over Mansourieh.       

After the last cabinet session’s participants agreed on the principle of buying homes near the power lines, the Finance Ministry completed the speculation process.       

The Ministry of Energy prepared a detailed table showing the list of concerned housing units and suggested that lines be extended under the strict supervision of security forces.       

The General Directorate of the ISF informed the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities that it is ready to provide backing if informed 48 hours before the implementation date.          T

The Development and Reconstruction Council said that it needs 48 hours to kick off the works, starting the date when security forces announce their readiness.         

Therefore, it seems that the high-voltage power lines will be extended over the heads of Mansourieh residents, against their will. They either accept to live under these lines, sell their apartments or go back to the streets in a movement with unguaranteed results.
