REPORT: Gulf States ambassadors from Bkerke: Dispute with Hezbollah ongoing

Maronite Patriarch Beshara Boutros Rai stressed keenness on protecting the common treasure held by both Christians and Muslims, calling for ending wars and reaching political solutions to restore just and comprehensive peace within the Arab region.

During his meeting with ambassadors of Gulf States, Rai stressed the need to preserve “Lebanon’s good relations with the gulf,” expressing regret over the obstacles that disturbed the atmosphere between the nations.

Following the meeting, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Lebanon Abdel Aal al-Qinai said that the Gulf States did not arbitrarily dismissed any Lebanese national, stressing that there is no diplomatic crisis with Lebanon.

However, he noted that the dispute with Hezbollah will continue as long as the Shiite party continues to attack their nations.

On another note, the ambassador called on the Lebanese to elect a new president and put an end to all attempts aiming at disturbing the relations with the Gulf.
