Former Prime Minister Najib Mikati met Friday with Michael Spindelegger, the Director General of the “International Center for Migration Policy Development”, where they discussed the program drafted by the organization to ensure safe and swift return of the refugees to Syria.
During the meeting, Spindelegger stressed the center’s readiness to use its good relations with the European Union’s organizations and member states in order to create a wide understanding for the needs determined by the Lebanese government, to help in facing the challenges caused by the Syrian crisis and finding permanent solutions.
“Our organization is ready to place its efforts and expertise at the disposal of the Lebanese government,” he added.
