The Internal Security Forces Directorate General declared that on Friday April 15, 2016, the general inspectorate received information through a hotline (1744) phone call from “KAFA, (enough) Violence & Exploitation” association reporting that a 21-year-old Syrian woman identified as F. Ch. has been detained, beaten and threatened by her husband in the region of Ouzai. The victim’s mother also filed a complaint against the man.
The statement added that upon the instruction of the concerned judiciary, an ISF patrol rushed to the scene and managed to enter the house through a small window, since all the doors were firmly locked.
The security forces also managed to arrest the husband, after he threatened to kill his wife by placing a knife on her neck, then he attempted to cut his stomach and threatened the life of one of the patrol’s members, forcing the security forces to shoot him in the leg.
The woman was freed and handed to the KAFA association, while her husband was transported to the hospital for treatment.
