Judge issues arrest warrant for doctor involved in abortions

Judge Dani Chrabieh issued Friday an arrest warrant against a doctor and his aides accused of performing about 200 abortions on 75 sex slaves recently freed.

Earlier this month, the investigations committee at the Lebanese Order of Physicians listened in the presence of the order’s head Dr. Antoine al-Bustani, to the testimony of abortions doctor Riad al-Alam and Anesthesiologist George Wafakian, after all confessions made in the case of the Chez Maurice prostitution ring.

Many of the 75 women released from the prion of Chez Maurice where they were forced into prostitution through torture and blackmail, have confessed to have undergone many abortions performed by the said doctor, who used cruel and unsafe methods to abort.

Last month, Lebanese security forces have broken up a human trafficking network and freed 75 girls, mostly Syrians, they said were beaten and forced into prostitution.
