Head of the Private School Teachers' Association Nehme Mahfoud stressed Tuesday that the Union Coordination Committee will hold a strike today to call for including the salary scale in the agenda of the upcoming legislation session, among other demands.
Mahfoud’s comments were made during an interview with LBCI’s Nharkom Said whereby he noted that the committee is willing to take escalatory steps should its demands are not met.
“We are not against the state. We are against the political class,” he added.
As for the legislation of necessity, Mahfoud said that the living situation must be addressed primarily.
