General Security arrests three Syrians for partaking in attacks against army in Arsal

The General Security issued on Wednesday a statement whereby it stated that three Syrian nationals were arrested for partaking in armed attacks against the Lebanese army and security forces during the 2014 battles in the border town of Arsal.

The statement identified the arrestees only by their initials as: T.G, A.G., and A.Z. on charges of taking part in armed battles in Arsal.

During the interrogations, the detained have confessed to belonging to a terror group and of engaging in armed attacks against the positions of the army and security forces.

 

They confessed to the kidnapping of servicemen and to attempting to kill others.

 

The arrestees were referred to the concerned authorities and efforts are ongoing to track down others involved.
