Head of the Progressive Socialist Party MP Walid Jumblatt declared that “the time has come for a change in the PSP’s central and senior leaderships and perhaps in the presidency of the party.”
In a ceremony held in Wata al-Msaitbe to mark Labor Day and the anniversary of the foundation of the party, Jumblatt said that this state of stalemate has become inacceptable, stressing the importance of national unity.
On another note, he called for preserving the capital Beirut and protecting it from “a ghost plan aiming at displacing the poor from their city.”
