Future bloc calls Beirutis to massively participate in municipal elections

The Future parliamentary bloc held its weekly meeting on Tuesday under the chairmanship of its leader Fouad Siniora, with talks featuring high on various aspects of Lebanon and the region's latest events.

​The meeting's final statement called on the Lebanese people to massively participate in the municipal elections, since this vote is an “opportunity for the Lebanese people to prove their commitment to democracy and renewal of institutions. “

The statement encouraged Beirutis in particular to participate massively next Sunday for the consensus list of Beirutis, chaired by Jamal Itani.

On another note, the statement called for the swift election of a new president.

The statement also condemned the attack on Aleppo committed by the Syrian regime against the city, civilians, and innocent people.
