Maronite Bishops voice hopes that municipal polls “would remain civil”
The council of Maronite Bishop held on Wednesday its periodic monthly meeting in Bkerke to tackle national and church issues.

Following the meeting, the bishops voiced hopes that the municipal elections “would remain civil.”

“We call on candidates to inform the voters about their programs,” the bishops added.

On another note, they hailed the decision to close night clubs and pubs involved in the sex slavery networks, calling for bringing those involved in the network to justice.

The bishops concluded by urging the international powers to resolve the regional conflicts and “to allow the displaced to return to their homeland.”
