[PHOTOS] Man Breaks World Record For Free Diving
British-born New Zealander has set the free diving world record with a 121 meters plunge in the Bahamas which lasted four minutes and 24 seconds.

Describing it as a “tough dive”, William Trubridge broke his own free immersion diving record in 2011 but said he struggled during the ascent and feared he would lose consciousness.

The 35-year-old descended easily and retrieved a tag at the target depth but then fumbled as he attached it to his wet-suit and lost about five valuable seconds.

The dive marked the sixteenth world record set by Trubridge who will attempt to set another record.

He has also set records in the constant weight without fins discipline, which involves ascending and descending without the aid of fins or a rope.
