Body of municipal police officer found in Bshemoun
The body of Ousama Anis al-Jawahri, a police officer affiliated with Bshemoun municipality, was found on Friday in a municipal vehicle in the wooded area of Bshemoun.

In al-Sultaniya town in the district of Bent Jbeil a patrol affiliated with the LAF intelligence directorate arrested a masked gunman near a broadcasting station owned by a mobile company. Exchange of fire injured one soldier and caused damages to a military vehicle.  

In a statement, the LAF command said that as soon as it received information about a masked gunman near the broadcasting station, a patrol was dispatched to the area. When the patrol arrived, it came under fire injuring a soldier and damaging the vehicle.

The statement added that patrol members fired back, wounding the shooter called Jaafar Mohammad Yassin who was rushed to hospital for treatment. The gun and the ammunition used by Yassin were confiscated as well as a number of hand grenades.
