Contract professors of the Lebanese University staged Thursday afternoon a symbolic sit-in outside the Grand Serail, where they called on the cabinet to grant them tenure after they passed the Civil Service Board exams around eight months ago.
The protesters noted that the university’s employees “deserve to be rewarded by being granted tenure, especially that they did not cost the treasury any additional burdens.”
