Jumblatt questions security apparatuses’ silence on illegal internet file

Progressive Socialist Party Leader MP Walid Jumblatt said Friday that if it wasn’t for the efforts of the Telecommunications Ministry in following up on the illegal internet file, the administrative and security apparatuses would have not released any of the information; such as the army’s report that Israeli equipment nearly reached all Lebanese houses.

“How has the the equipment disappeared since 2009? Who is involved in having the army be part of this illegal internet issue? Does a security breach this big prevent the judiciary from accessing the truth? Who is benefiting from this?” he tweeted

Jumblatt also questioned "why the Army’s intelligence and the Lebanese General Security did not reveal anything in this matter, after they were competing to reveal Israeli agents".
