Prime Minister Tammam Salam casted his ballot on Sunday at al-Maqased school in Aisha Bakkar and said “this is a national moment par excellence that embodies a democratic practice allowing the Lebanese people to vote.”
In this regard, Salam hoped that this electoral process will reflect on other practices, mainly the presidential elections.
The prime minister stressed that he supports the city of Beirut and its residents and calling on all Beirutis to exercise their democratic right.
He also praised the major role played by Minister Nouhad al-Mashnouq and his team in making it possible to hold the municipal and mokhtar elections.
