REPORT: Body of American woman of Lebanese descent found near Niha’s Castle in Chouf
A shepherd found Sunday the body of a woman near Niha's Castle in the region of Chouf, who was identified as Sarah Katrina Mezher (born in 1961, American citizen of Lebanese descent), a statement issued by the Internal Security Forces said.

A compass was found among the belongings of the woman, as well as a map of the region of Jezzine and a bottle of water.

A patrol conducted a survey across the area, while a coroner, assigned to inspect the body, said that the deceased woman had probably died after falling during an exploratory hike in the region.
