Change and Reform bloc MP Ibrahim Kanaan stressed Tuesday that “the presidency is not an isolated island.”
Following the bloc’s weekly meeting, Kanaan said, “If we want to break the impasse, we should respect the Constitution and the National Pact.
“The new electoral law should aim at safeguarding the sectarian parity,” he added.
As for the municipal elections, the lawmaker said that Zahle’s elections proved that the city’s national influence will reflect itself across Lebanon.
