Choueifat witnessed a heated electoral battle between the Progressive Socialist Party and the Lebanese Democratic Party.
After casting his vote, MP Talal Arslan stressed that he had rejected the intervention of parties and the political quotas within the municipal council.
“I resorted to the families of Choueifat,” he added.
