Judge issues two indictments against 13 suspected militants

Military Investigative Judge Fadi Sawan issued Thursday two indictments against 13 people over alleged links to extremist groups.

Sawan had issued two decrees: the first accused Lebanese national Abdel Latif Amoun and three Syrians of belonging to “terror groups” and partaking in “terror acts” in the northeastern border town of Arsal. The second decree accused Abdel Qader Ameen and eight of his Lebanese companions of carrying out militant attacks in northern Lebanon.

The detainees were referred to the Military Court for a trial.
